Never Again:Deer Hunting
Have you ever gone to a new place or tried a new experience and thought to yourself, “I’m never doing that again!” Tell us about it.
Never again will I go deer hunting. One time was enough. Dad and Uncle drank until 3 am. We all left the camp just before sun rise. Dad sat me down beside a tree stump and say “Just Stay Still and the deer will come across that trail right in front of you”. Make sure the buck has at least 3 inch horns before you shoot. Right…Like I’m going to ask it to stand still and let me measure his horns. At dawn I could see at least 3 other hunters near me. All with high-powered rifles. First buck comes through and it’s like a firing range with me ducking behind some logs.
I’m not in that picture. I was inside the cabin reading a book never to return and hunt deer.
