I did a search on Rusty the Cat!
Strange timing for this prompt from my standpoint. We just had one of our cats euthanize yesterday. His name was Rusty. He was 19 years old. We have had him since he was less than a week old. We were on a hike in Colorado Springs and spotted this cat at the park dumpster. My wife loved it. I thought it was the ugliest cats I had ever seen. That cat turned out to be Rusty’s mother, Elizabeth. Liz took us on a little hike and stopped at this overturned snowplow. Underneath the snowplow were six little kittens. We kept three and found homes for the rest. Rusty was the last one alive. The picture below is of Rusty; I don’t think he realized that the cat on the right was not a real cat!

In memory of Rusty – lovely photo and what an interesting beginning to the life of a cat. We have a cat that belongs to the neighbours, called Roschti (which is probably the Swiss equivelant name).

Thanks! He was part of the family. Still have 3. Elvis with a heart condition and the two new boys, Wilson and Purcee. They seem to know something is different.
